That whole comment about being a big fan of Under Armour - not as big of a fan anymore. I actually think they have a great product but wow - Kevin Plank...not a big fan. Mr. Plank recently decided to sell a boat load of shares 1.5 million and the stock went tumbling. Jim Cramer blasted the company and his word is golden to his investors - I think they followed suit.
So hence my fondness of the product is still there but I saw Mr. Plank in the hall two times last week and I wanted to tell him he blew it. Ehh what do I know he's the one that just cashed in $90 million of stock.... I'm sure he'd laugh at me on his way to the bank.
We'll see what happens in the next earnings call.

Under Armor Conference Call
So this morning I decided to listen to the Under Armor Conference Call on 3rd Quarter results. I am a proud Under Armor Stock holder and I wanted to see where their corporate direction was heading for Q4 and 2008. I'm a huge fan - not only because they are in Baltimore and their office is above Advertising.com's, but they are huge growing brand. Just watch TV and you'll see actors and sports figures all over wearing the gear.
I am a novice investor and opened up my Etrade extended pricing with real time quotes. I'm still baffled but happy at the same time.
The stock closed yesterday at $58.73 - The earning announcement occurred at 8:30 and there must have been a huge sell off as the stock plummetted before open at 53.50 and I was able to grab a additional shares at $54. That being said it's 9:22 and the con call is still happening and the stock is now up to $61.35 before open.
I don't get. I was able to make a nice profit early this morning by buying the additional shares at the extended hours and if I would have missed the call. I would have checked my stocks and been none the wiser. Happy with the growth - Happy with the result. I'm baffled I was so worried that the stock would fall lower than the $54 early this am and now I can't believe it's at 61. I'm glad I don't do this for a living.
Now I realize that brokers I worked with before - didn't work hard enough for my money. If you are patient there are always sellers and always buyers. As Jim Cramer says - never buy at the Market.
Happy Halloween and Go Under Armor Go. Just to support the cause I'm buying some under gear for the kiddies to trick or treat in!
